| Hey, How has everyone been? My summer has been pretty good. I was busy at first getting certified for scuba diving ( not my idea) but it turned out to be fun. I did'nt have a real summer last year so I've just been relaxing ever since I finished with the diving. I went to Baylor orientation this month, and I had never really been in the campus before. It was an awesome place, and I'm excited to be going from a lion to a bear.
I've also seen tons of movies this summer. Yesterday I saw Fantastic Four, which at first I thought was going to be good. But then I read many bad reviews. So going in I thought it would disappoint me, but it was actually pretty good. I hope I see some of you guys before school starts in august, and I know I've said it before but I'll try to remember to xanga more often.

| Well I have been neglecting my Xanga for awhile now, and I think its time to clean off the dust. Today is the start of spring break, and I am more than ready for it. I don't think that I will be doing anything thrilling, but school has gotten pretty monotonous. I've noticed many of us have a bad case of senioritis, I mean after 13 years of school I think its understandable. It should be good from this point though, after spring break we have tons of other off time to help break up the school. I think we just have to remember that the majority of seniors would do anything to be done with highschool, but the majority of older people would do anything to get it back. So I'm going to try my best to rest up , and go back to school with the right mindset. Which for me I think is to survive the work, and to enjoy the good times with friends.
Today I went to my Dads house for awhile, and then I went to the movies. As I said before nothing thrilling, but sometimes during breaks I just like to hang out. Some days, knowing myself, I will probably wake up at 1:00 and play video games the rest of the day. I will try to keep posting frequently, and not waiting for something interesting to happen for me to post about. Though if I pull one of those all day video game binges, I won't post on it. Because 1) I don't think many of you guys would like it, and 2) I won't have time because I will be playing video games.

| Well I have'nt posted since wednesday, and not much has happened. On thursday as everyone knows a rebuttal to "the article" was distributed. I won't talk about the rebuttal too much, because its saturday and its already old news. Many other people have posted on it, and I've commented on some of those posts. So anyway, on thursday, EVERYONE was bickering about " the article". I mean I heard everything, from name calling, to talk of....physical altercations( though to be honest, all this nonsense came from only one side of the debate). I thought that it would continue on to friday, but it seemed like for the most part everyone had gotten it out of their system. I hope that this is the case, that it was'nt just the euphoric feelings that fridays can bestow. Previously I had said that this would'nt go away for a long time to come. I hope that I was wrong, because in this case I don't see any more benefits to be had from this discussion. I, despite appearances, enjoy debates as much as the next guy( even though I probably won't say much). But this debate has become too partisan and emotional to have any real solutions. I can't imagine anyone saying " your right, I can see your point, I was just blinded by my bias in this situation". We don't need a rift between our class three months before graduation, and I think further debate has a potential of creating one. I have always believed that when stuff like this happens to me, I need to look for the lesson in it. If we look we can find multiple lessons in this thing; to stand firm in your believes even when the world is against you, to not get so familiar with evil that when it is attacked you race to defend it, that sometimes soft words speak the loudest and loud words are misunderstood, and that sometimes you have to agree to disagree. We are the seniors, the leaders of the school, and I feel that we need to be good examples. Most of the bickering came from our class, because sadly most of the indiscretions came from our class. I encourage everyone to not be the senior that all the underclassmen know is less mature than them, the one that we looked down on when we were freshmen. Let us once again be " the good class".

| Well today was pretty boring. I'm sure thats not the way to start an interesting post, but its true. We had a Bible test today, which could have gone better for me, and that was essentially the main event of the day. Now I dont know about you guys but when a test is the main part of your day things are pretty slow. I did get to slip out of 5th period to take a picture, and that was pretty cool. And that was my school day
Now seeing as how that description of my day was'nt exactly scintillating, I will talk about something I observed today, People like controversy. Many people are making a big thing out of now whats refered to as " the article". They had permission to write it and its already out. So in this case I think people need to let it go. If you don't like it fine, but really what is complaining about it going to do? Is it going to somehow magically not have been printed, no, and instead now everyone has read it to see what the controversy is. If you want to know my opinion on the content of the article I commented on Ummssj3's site. I think in this case people rebuted the article the wrong way. The wrong way; Start big debate, get school adminstrators involved, show everyone how angry you are, put newspapers with messages on them under doors, and insult peoples integrity. We will just have to see where this goes.
BTW: Unless you guys like Jay Z, 50 Cent, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera for the valentines party. You should try to have some imput, I kid you not ,right now some of those songs are on the list.

| Well I finally got around to making one of these. Right now my site is under construction and hopefully I'll be able to add some cool things. Ive added a music player, but sadly there werent many songs to choose from. Well I have to go I will keep added things and next time I'll do a real post. | | |
